Self-priming progressing cavity pumps. A rotating rotor within a stationary stator made from a rubber compound i.e. Buna, Neoprene, EPDM, Viton PTFE, in special cases also metal.
The special shape of these two parts creates sealed chambers, the contents of which are continuously moved in an axial direction from the suction to the pressure side.
